Contemporary Exhibitions Receive National Recognition
In the current issue, the preeminent arts magazine Art in America highlights two of the Contemporary Museum’s recent exhibitions: Cottage Industry and The Reverse Ark: In the Wake
Cathy Lebovitz writes about Cottage Industry in an article about green art, recounting a 2008 trip to the front lawn of Baltimore resident Clarence Ridgley, which artist Fritz Haeg transformed into a functioning garden. She also reviews The Reverse Ark as the magazine’s featured International Review, chronicling the transformation of the museum’s gallery into a “ship’s galley” for the exhibition.
Bravo to the Contemporary Museum – raising Baltimore’s profile as a rich and eclectic arts community!
